Tinas lovely map illustrations are part of a new book by chronicle: ‘swell – a year of waves’

The book collects the best new wave photography. Beautiful, simple, universal, the photos trace four different swells as they hit beaches around the world. Essays on the nature of wave generation and illustrated swell maps engage the armchair wave watcher. Designed to retail beautifully in the specialty markets, Swell is a substantive, lovely gift for anyone with a vetted interest in coastline and the beach.

Tina recently did a couple of illustrations for the wine spectator magazine.

Whenever Tina Zellmer is inbetween assignments (and when it is bad weather outside), she is trying to get some personal work done.
This time she was playing around with mixed materials:
black pencil drawings, old collages, marmoring, acrylic paint, coloured pencils and photoshop in the end.

Tina created this lovely portrait of Judith Jones for Saveur magazine.

Tina made five illustrations for VIV magazine.
They are for an article about getting lost in a medical maze of treatment decisions, health-care billings and
insurance coverage and how a patient advocate may be who you need to fight for your rights.

I marbled one whole day in my studio with friends who never marbled before. It was so much fun and (after our first struggles) we had really nice results in the end. I went totally ‘marble crazy’ and besides normal paper,
I marbled on leaves and stones.

Tina recently illustrated an article for World Wilde Challenge Magazine about how to pray with more confidence.

Tina Zellmer has created a series of full-spread colour illustrations for an excusive guide to great European journeys for Toyota owners to inspire for the summer ahead. Happy travels…

3×3 is a magazine devoted entirely to the art of contemporary illustrations. They stay tuned in to what’s going on the world of illustration.

Each year Anna Goodson Management promotes that its artists will work for Free for non profit clients. It is advertised in North American and The UK. It was through this promotion that an offer came in from an charity organisation to join their inhouse creative team on a two week trip to Uganda.
I knew immidiately I wanted to do this project and jumped on it

The charity organisation ‘tearfund UK’ asked me to join them to work together on a very important and exciting project. When I was ask to help, I was happy I had time and offered my services.
I have been very fortunate last year and I was happy to be able to give something back.

These are some of the images I created for tearfund.
I made a series of illustrations about a tiny village in the middle of Uganda called Ogongora.
Here you can see some of them: a bit of the village, Richard, Elisabeth, Grace, the pastor Joseph and his family. It felt really great to do something for people in need and it was very rewarding, too.

For me, this was an amazing opportunity. I experienced truly rural African life in poor communities, I made some new friends and was allowed to experience magnificent moments of joy, laughter, thankfulness and love. It made a big impression in my life .
And the best: at the same time i did what I love most:
making illustrations.
