Heavy Pencil at the ICA, London

Artwork by Andy Potts

Andy Potts and John Slade enjoyed a night of live drawing at the ICA on February 4th and here are some photos and a few results from the night. We based the drawings on our music playlist which revolved around film soundtracks and inspiration, these were inspired by Queen’s Flash Gordon theme, Company Flow by Population Control, John Carpenter’s Escape From New York theme and The Sad Skinhead by Faust.

LaSalle Street Church Advent Banner

Artwork by Violet Lemay

Violet Lemay contributed this illustration to LaSalle Street Church in Chicago, for an 8′ x 4′ outdoor banner which will display their Advent programming. Gary Rand, Director of Worship and Arts, wanted the banner to portray a sense of longing, in anticipation of Christmas. He and Violet were inspired by medieval German wood-cuts. The art will also be printed in a smaller format, on fliers and programs. Nicole Mondal provided art direction.
