Roberto Cigna created three illustrations for the August issue of Aplus magazine for an article entitled, “In NGOs we trust,” by Ben Kwok.
NGO is an acronym that stands for non-governmental organization, usually a non-profit that operates independently of a government. Kwok tells us that much like its for-profit counterpart, core to an NGO’s success is accountability and transparency.
The article, on NGO governance in Hong Kong, tells us that it’s more important than ever that CPAs help build public trust in social services organizations while supporting good corporate governance.
Cigna’s illustrations focus on building individual and public trust to bridge gaps and invest in communities.
The goal, according to Kwok,“When we help NGOs to govern better, we are helping many more people and contributing to the community.”
