Andy has created a cover and feature illustration for BBC Science Focus on the theme of the hunt for the ‘First Stars’ and how they are ‘Lost in Space’. The brief was to depict these mysterious first stars based on descriptions of ‘a consuming gas ball’ from the article and Andy worked through various interpretations to reach the final image. The digital illustration was made with Cinema 4d/Redshift then taken into Photoshop for texture compositing.
