Katy Lemay
Biography
Katy Lemay is a Quebec-based illustrator and artist known for her distinctive contemporary illustration style combining digital collage, archival photography, drawing, and graphic composition. Her work explores themes of memory, heritage, femininity, and surrealist storytelling through poetic, symbolic visual narratives.
Inspired by vintage imagery, literature, and historical objects, she creates conceptual illustrations that blend past and present, often used in editorial illustration, cultural projects, and heritage-focused visual storytelling.
Katy Lemay has collaborated with leading publications and brands including Oprah Magazine, Unibroue, and Canada Post, where she designed a commemorative stamp. In 2025, she received the CALQ Artist of the Year Award in Laval, recognizing the impact and originality of her work.
