Illustrating the future
We work with the world's most brilliant and visionary creatives to bring the boldest concepts to life.
Where is home?
Southern New Jersey
Describe your illustration style in one sentence.
I aim to create conceptually smart, simple solutions that surprise the viewer.
What lights your soul on fire?
Music does it for me more than anything else. When a song speaks to you on a deep level, it can give you goosebumps no matter how many times you hear it. A song can evoke a specific memory or moment of time, helping you to relive them over and over again.
How much of yourself and your own story can we see in your work?
I would say you can see how my mind connects the dots between different topics or themes, but beyond that I let the work and the topic show through.
What do you want to be known for?
Creating smart compelling visual stories.
What is your dream gig?
A longer form project, such as a comic or children’s book would be so fun, and would push me to approach my work in new ways.
How has your style evolved since you started?
I think it has become more refined over the years. Definitely in the final product, but also the thinking behind the concepts.
How has being an illustrator changed your life?
The biggest change in the exposure to things I would not have necessarily known about. So many of the editorial assignments I have had over the years have enlightened me on subjects I otherwise knew very little about.
Name a tool you can’t live without!
Currently that would be my iPad and apple Pencil!
What would you tell your younger self?
Take bigger risks earlier on in life in both career and in general life. Explore the world, foster friendships, always try new things.
Why do you think art speaks louder than words?
Visual images can transcend language barriers, and a striking image can leave a lasting imprint in your memory.
