Marcos Ramos Celis, born in Caracas, Venezuela, began his career as a graphic designer working for ad agencies, a screen printing company, and for the media. Ramos Celis ventured into a full-time freelance illustration career just a few years ago. New to Anna Goodson Illustration Agency, the illustrator joined the agency in May, 2017.
Ramos Celis’ portraits of political figures, sports personalities, and celebrities; and his editorial illustration, present dramatic portrayals of people in exaggerated poses and from unsettling angles. His politically-charged content and social comment on issues and personalities of the day, and those that affect his native country of Venezuela, elicit instant recognition of his highly individual style.
Ramos Celis’ political and editorial illustration can be found in newspapers in both Venezuela and the United States.
