Audrey Malo / Socialter / La révolte, Éducation populaire ça s’apprend ?

Audrey Malo was commissioned by Socialter to provide several illustrations for their 69th issue. In this issue, Socialter highlights the popular education movement that is now taking on the challenge of environmental inequalities. Manual learning, theoretical knowledge, lived experience… Against elitist intellectualism, activists and volunteers are creating new tools to make scientific knowledge about ongoing upheavals more accessible and to rekindle a sensitivity to living things. These initiatives help strengthen the agency of residents who are far removed from political arenas, by focusing on local social and ecological issues. In this way, popular education could become a lever to root ecology in the everyday lives of working-class France.
