Belicta Castelbarco / Tufts Magazine / Class Acts: Advanced Robotics Fall 2026 issue

Belicta Castelbarco was commissioned for the Fall 2026 issue of Tufts Magazine (“Class Acts: Advanced Robotics”) to illustrate the intersection of mechanical engineering, computer science, and student creativity.

Using her signature halftone and layered digital collage technique, she brought together the real-world hands-on collaborative energy of Professor Markus Nemitz’s students with the colorful, innovative robots they built from scratch, including the bright orange kangaroo-inspired biped!
Huge thanks to the art director Heather Burk and the team at Tufts for such a fun, dynamic assignment!
