Esteban Plazibat / Amnesty International / NO FEAR, NO REPRESSION, NO EXCUSES 2026 WORLD CUP CAMPAIGN

During the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Amnesty International commissioned illustrator Esteban Plazibat to create a series of illustrations for its campaign “No Fear, No Repression, No Excuses.”

The campaign highlights how a tournament intended as a global celebration of unity, diversity, and joy can be overshadowed by policies of repression, discrimination, and migration control in the host countries. Through this initiative, Amnesty International draws attention to issues such as mass deportations, restrictions on peaceful protest, and violence against marginalized communities, including migrants and LGBTQI+ people.

The project calls on FIFA and the relevant authorities to ensure that the World Cup remains a safe, inclusive, and human rights–respecting event, where everyone can participate and express themselves without fear.
