Esteban Plazibat created an editorial illustration for De Morgen to accompany the article “Beware of the Baby Boomer Trillions.” The piece examines the unprecedented transfer of wealth that is expected to take place as the baby boomer generation passes on its assets to their children and grandchildren.

For the illustration, the concept centers on the ideas of comfort, idleness, and the feeling of having one’s future already secured. Using real estate as a visual metaphor, the image reflects the growing debate around inherited wealth, social mobility, and the shift from a merit-based society toward one increasingly shaped by family assets and inheritance.
