Esteban Plazibat / Globe and Mail / Economic Outlook 2026

The Globe and Mail commissioned Esteban Plazibat to create a series of illustrations for its Economic Outlook 2026. This business report highlighted the importance of focusing on the opportunities and challenges that will shape 2026. The seven illustrations he developed explored a range of key contemporary topics with a forward-looking perspective, including markets, defense, manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and housing. The main challenge of this project was to visually communicate both the advantages and disadvantages of each subject, always from an economic perspective and with an emphasis on the future.
