Jennifer Dahbura was commissioned by The Persistent to illustrate an article exploring the tension between self-expression and feminism. The story, titled “Can You Wear Makeup and Still Call Yourself a Feminist?”, follows the journey of a feminist who has worn makeup since childhood but now questions her relationship with it, navigating the complexities of beauty standards and her beliefs.
