Joe Magee / Wharton Magazine / Can Big Banks Impact Climate Consciousness?

Joe Magee

Joe Magee has been commissioned by Wharton Magazine (University of Pennsylvania) for an article about how EU and UK banks are falling in step with regulatory pressure on tackling climate change. The piece examines how mandated climate stress tests have increased transparency in their reporting of climate risks and how this has led to a reduced climate risk exposure in their loan portfolios. Outcomes include banks being more conscientious about their lending to borrowers with high climate risks.

Joe used his signature style of mixing photography with simple graphic elements and a restricted color palette, working closely with the art director at agency Pentagram who design the magazine.
