Lucila Perini / Muy Bueno Co. / Origami Cup Argentina

Lucila Perini created a series of illustrations for Origami Cup Argentina 2026, the local edition of the global filter-coffee competition convened by Muy Bueno Co. The identity was built around a single idea — this is a World Cup, but it’s played with your hands — borrowing the language of football to make a niche barista contest feel like a national team people can root for. Working within that concept, Lucila developed the illustrated world that carried it: hands in a range of poses for the main graphic, a full cast of Origami Cup supporters, and the object universe of specialty coffee, including kettles, servers, grinders, drippers and beans.
The main challenge was to make the concept legible through gesture alone, staging real barista movements — the pour, the grip on a server, the raised cup — with the body language of football celebration, so the drawing did the conceptual work rather than simply decorating it. Using a warm palette that crosses the colors of the Argentine flag with coffee tones, and a bold gestural line that carries humor without tipping into caricature, she created a cohesive visual language that reads as movement and belonging, and that holds up even when reduced to two colors or its smallest scale.
