Marella Moon Albanese / The Boston Globe / Sunday book review illustration

Marella was asked by art director Keilani Rodriguez on behalf of The Boston Globe to do their Sunday book review illustration. The book, which is written by Adam Haslett, tells the story of a mother and sons turbulent relationship, as well as how the son navigates his past through his work as an immigration lawyer. The protagonist often takes clients which remind him of growing up with his now distant mother which often end up being violent in nature.
