For the latest issue of Cicero Magazine, Marie Wolf created an editorial illustration series for an article about gender equality in science and academic careers. The series explores the goal of ensuring that men and women have equal opportunities in academia, with career decisions based on individual achievement and qualification rather than gender. At the same time, the article addresses the fact that women are currently receiving targeted support in many areas in order to close the existing gender gap.

To visualize this complex social and political topic, Marie Wolf used visual storytelling and strong visual metaphors directly connected to science, research, and professional advancement. Her political illustration combines bright, vibrant colors with clean vector shapes, handmade brushstrokes and expressive hand-drawn lines, creating an engaging image language that makes abstract questions around equality and structural support immediately accessible.
