Nathan illustrated for the Wall Street Journal sports section for an article about how Ohio State as part of their radical off season training schedule they need to read.

Coach Ryan Day, in an effort to refocus his players for the upcoming season has been using story time and Nathan was giving a directive to feature some of the players in this entertaining story.

The humour of the story is derived from the antithetical scenario of these giant, intimidating players all engrossed in their reading homework. The illustration needed a quick delivery, but the assignment from the art director was clear and direct.
