Nathan Hackett / Wall Street Journal / What Pets Can Teach us About the True Spirit of Giving

Nathan was asked by the Wall Street Journal to illustrate for an article in the Off Duty Section about the writer, Michelle Slatalla, and her Christmas shopping during the festive period for her pet dogs Larry and Pigeon.
Her pets may not share her enthusiasm for rushing out for last minute deals during the holidays, or acknowledge her pained navigation around what toys or costumes her dogs would look best in, but pets do have a deep understanding of giving and receiving writes Michelle.
Nathan illustrated Larry and Pigeon, who are recurring characters in the author’s stories, pulling a festive cracker in the centre of a festive scene with an assortment of other pets and items that are mentioned in the article.
