Raphael Mendes is a longtime soccer fan and has created several soccer-themed artworks in the past, especially of Brazilian players. When he learned that Montreal now has its first professional women’s soccer team — the Montreal Roses — and that his agent, Anna Goodson, is an ambassador and investor in the team, it felt like a great opportunity to contribute with something original focused on the players.
