Sébastien Thibault collaborated with Nature Magazine team on a piece about the top universities for scientific retractions. Retractions are when a scientific journal removes a published paper after discovering a serious flaw with the work. There can be lots of reasons for a paper to be retracted and not all are malicious. Nature obtained data from three companies that ranked rates of retractions by institutions. The story provides the results of our analysis and explores the implications.
