Terry Wong was asked to create an illustration about the upcoming recession. Working with Globe and Mail Art director Domenic Macri, the image uses a bear and bull to represent the ups and downs of the market. The characters are placed in a quiet scene before the work day, the scenario was inspired by the relationship of Ralph Wolf and Sam Sheepdog from Looney Tunes.
