Van Saiyan / Eme21mag / A Mexican hat

Van Saiyan was commissioned to create an illustration for eme21mag, a publication by the Madrid City Council. His piece depicts the Church of the Mexicans, a building whose nickname comes from the shape of its roof, which resembles a traditional Mexican hat, as well as from its dedication to Our Lady of Guadalupe. This project was especially meaningful to him, as he has developed a particular interest in the architecture of churches and cathedrals.
