Chris Madden / How it feels to forgive an unfaithful Mum on Mother’s Day.

Chris Madden was asked to illustrate an article in The Sunday Times Magazine.
The article was written by the daughter of a Mother who, in the past, had been unfaithful in her marriage and left the home where she had lived with her husband and three children.

The sensitive subject matter made this assignment quite a challenge, especially since it was written by somebody directly involved in the family drama.

Chris wanted to convey the sense of loss a family feels when a parent is absent, but also had to keep the image and concept light-hearted.
