Daniella Ferretti / Los Angeles Times / He didn’t know how to take care of his plants — or my needs

At the end of last year Daniella Ferretti was commissioned to create an illustration for an essay of Los Angeles Times Plants section. The story written by Michelle Dowd is about the end of a relationship, love, plants and the importance of knowing how to take care of both.

Daniella worked from the concept of rupture, dividing the image in two, from the past to the luminous and green future of the leading woman. The image has a subtle animation of some of its elements.
