Mai Ly Degnan / Project Tomorrow / Speak Up Hero Awards

For this project, Mai Ly Degnan was commissioned by Project Tomorrow to illustrate an image for the Speak Up Hero Awards. The nonprofit, Project Tomorrow, runs the Speak Up project and was honoring 10 districts as heroes. The illustration’s focus was to commemorate 20 years of Speak Up educational research around education technology in schools. The theme of the event is From CDs to AI: Transforming education by listening to stakeholders (students, parents, teachers, and administrators). Mai Ly focused on a hopeful illustration composed of a diverse group of students learning, working together, and benefiting from varying educational tools. During the awards event, each district hero was awarded a certificate with the printed illustration.
