Decluttering your Home, Philly Magazine

Nathan Hackett

Nathan Hackett was asked by Philly Magazine to illustrate for an article written by Sandy Hingston about her worries on what she should do with all her knick-knacks gathered and hoarded over a lifetime.

The accumulation of, what to the writer is, cherished memories and sentimental pieces (with a penchant for wicker and porcelain elephants) remain unwanted and unclaimed by her younger kids not wanting to clutter up their sleek, modern, Marie-Kondo inspired homes.

The illustration depicts a hopeful writer arriving unannounced with a lorry of goods in need of a new home, including a porcelain elephant.

Art direction by Jamie Leary.
