Nathan Hackett / Wall Street Journal / Are You a Wine Geek?

Nathan was asked by the Wall Street Journal to illustrate for an article exploring the many types of enthusiasts with the self declared title of a “wine geek”.
Nathan was tasked with making a playful and light hearted illustration to partner the story. The article explores the many levels of wine geekdom from just about caring beyond the attraction of a label to a life defining obsessions and Nathan framed the question of ‘what constitutes a geek anyway’ with an energetic scene of many characters all enjoying their wine in different micro-narratives.
