Nick Ogonosky / Backpacker Magazine

Nick Ogonosky, was asked to create an illustration that abstractly depicts the dangers and turmoils of long distance hikes in the Pacific Northwest of the US. Through use of colour and a contrast of lush, welcoming foliage against a sharp and dangerous looking expanse in the background, Nick utilized his loose and often cramped editorial style to come up with an effective final illustration.
