Oboh Moses

Oboh Moses was commissioned by The Boston Globe to illustrate for a book review of The Furrows, A book by Namwali Serpell.

The novel revolves around Casandra, the protagonist, who loses her younger brother at the age of 12 and the disorienting effects of grief that entails.

With his unique skill and creativity, Oboh was able to come up with an interesting illustration that matched the theme of the book;
“I spent a lot of time thinking about how to approach the illustrations. I  wanted them to be simple and understated because I felt that would be the most effective way to communicate the author’s feelings. In addition, I wanted to create images that would be visually appealing.  In the end, I was very pleased with the illustrations I created”
