Sébastien Thibault was asked by The Globe and Mail to create a cover and an inside illustration on the Canadian flag in connection with the “Freedom” convoy. As the protests and blockades have shown, a country’s flag can have more than one meaning. The maple leaf is now seen in other countries as an anti-vaccine and anti-sanitary restriction symbol.
